Dormer Pramet is expanding its Šumperk manufacturing facility, with a new 4,500 sqm. building, scheduled for completion in 2024. Its latest visualizations have just been revealed.
Summer 2022 saw removal of an old building and preparation of construction grounds. Sandvik president, Mr. Stefan Widing, along with Sandvik Machining Solutions president, Mrs. Nadine Crauwels, and Dormer Pramet president Eduardo Martin visited the grounds and tapped the ground stone in November 2022.
The construction work on the new Hall III. is starting in April 2023 and the hall is scheduled for completion in summer 2024. First inserts will be delivered from the new hall at the end of 2024.
The hall will become a new home to pressing and sintering departments. Their relocation to the new hall will free up space in existing production premises. Combination of new technologies in the Hall III. together with additional machine investments within existing halls will lead to increase of inserts production capacity by more than 50 %.
This will create enough room for planned expansion of sales in the coming years so customers might rely on Dormer Pramet’s ability to produce and deliver its products across all markets.
