This year’s event in Hannover (Sept 18-23) was a perfect example of how global the metalworking show is with visitors from more than 45 countries making a visit to the Dormer Pramet stand in Hall 3.
The largest group to visit us was obviously from Germany, supported by more than 420 local technical students attending our stand after we had invited them to EMO to increase their knowledge of the metalworking industry.
Our stand team was just as diverse, featuring individuals from the German sales team, but also from Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, CEE, Netherlands, Scandinavia, Italy, Greece, Russia, UK and Brazil, as well as members of our global functions.
EMO 2017 saw a significant change in the way we presented both our company and our cutting tools, with the new corporate color scheme and products grouped by ISO-material type. This gave our stand maximum visibility and helped visitors to find what they were looking for quickly and easily.
The Dormer Pramet Carrera slot car challenge attracted a lot of attention, drew in a number of new visitors and appeared in many photos and videos throughout the week.
Our presentation on the big video screen showcased our products and services brilliantly and our neatly designed orange carrier bags grabbed attention and gave us visibility all around EMO.
Each day we had the EMO ‘Guided Tours’ at our stand. Those attending were given a presentation of our product range and offered a drink to make them feel welcome.
People came to the stand with screen shots from Facebook to claim their free drill, which was also promoted on the student t-shirts around the show. Many visitors came with scratch cards which they had received either directly from us or a distributor, to claim their free prize from our Pramet ProLog vending machine.
All these activities generated a buzz around our stand throughout EMO as Dormer Pramet’s international team welcomed guests from around the world.
